Combat Air Museum Youth AviationCombat Air Museum
The Combat Air Museum is home to a wide variety of military aviation memorabilia housed in former Air Force hangars, spanning from WWI to present day, including aircraft engines, flight training simulators, and a military aviation art gallery.

Kansas Museum of History (TEMPORARILY CLOSED - REOPENING 2024)
Visit award-winning exhibits on colorful characters and everyday folks from Kansas' past. You'll see a full-sized Cheyenne tipi, a fully stocked covered wagon ready for a trip on the Oregon Trail, a 1950s diner, and a locomotive made in 1880 for the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad. Don't miss the great collection of Civil War weapons and documents.

Museum of the Kansas National Guard
Don't miss your chance to see firsthand the artifacts, equipment, and materials from the 155-year history of the Kansas National Guard including a 35th Division Museum, indoor and outdoor equipment exhibits and the swamp tentfrom the TV show "M*A*S*H".

Kansas State CapitolKansas State Capitol
 This historic French Renaissance-style building is an impressive public monument as well as the working offices for the governor and legislators. A dramatic array of art, architecture, and colorful Kansas history can be found within these walls and on the 20-acre site. Free tours are available. Due to extensive restoration work, some areas of the Capitol may be closed to the public.

190th Air Refueling Wing
The 190th Air Refueling wing of the United States Air Force is an aerial refueling unit located at Forbes Field just south of Topeka, Kansas. Base tours are available.

Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum
Located in Abilene, Kansas the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum features personal and cultural history artifacts, creative onsite programs and memorials. Abilene is 90 miles west of Topeka on Interstate 70.

Potawatomi Indian ReservationPrairie Band Casino Game Table
Visit the Prairie Band Casino and the new Firekeeper Golf Course, 20 miles north of Topeka on Highway 75. Stop by the Potawatomi County Veterans Memorial and learn about the Potawatomi Nation's buffalo herd maintained on more than 400 acres of tribal land.

Great Overland StationGreat Overland Station
The All Veterans Memorial at Great Overland Station features the Corridor of Flags and a dramatic sculptural flame centered above four reflecting pools, shimmering in the sun and glowing under the stars. Fifty American flags wave proudly above the flags of the fifty states, signifying American's unity of spirit. The restored Great Overland Station was formerly a Union Pacific Station.
